Stroganoff Ingredients

-1 lb Fettucine

-2 tablespoons sour cream

-2 cups Stroganoff sauce

-1 Portobello mushroom, pan seared

-1 tablespoon chopped herbs

 

Stroganoff Sauce Ingredients

-1 lb mushrooms

-1/2 tablespoons salt

-1 oz butter

-2 tablespoons onions, chopped

-2 garlic cloves, smashed

-4 tablespoons flour

-1 1/2 cups Vegetable stock

-1/2 cup Sherry Wine

-2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce

-2 tablespoons cream

-1 sprig thyme

 

Sauce Method

  1. Add butter to a small pot with mushrooms, onions and garlic. Let mushrooms sear and brown lightly. Add flour and cook for 2-3 minutes.

2. Slowly add stock and let liquid thicken. Once thickened, add sherry wine, Worcestershire, cream and herbs. Let cook for 5-10 minutes over medium low heat. Season with salt and pepper.

3. Remove herbs and keep warm.

 

Stroganoff Method

1. Cook noodles in boiling salted water. Strain and place onto a plate.

2. Top with stroganoff sauce, sour cream and chopped herbs.
